Publisher version check (October 4, 2026): easyminer.net labels its Windows release v0.11, but the main-server installer reports ProductVersion 0.97. The hosted archive reports 0.98. A newer executable has not been verified.

These limits matter for an old mining installer and should be resolved by the upstream publisher where possible.
The SourceForge listing describes CPU/GPU mining, pooled or solo modes, Stratum/getwork support, and a log viewer.
The listing references cpuminer, cgminer, gpuminer, and cudaminer. This site has not audited the bundled binaries or their versions.
Mining requires network connections to pools or nodes. Exact endpoints, pool defaults, and current compatibility are not verified here.
Administrator requirements, startup changes, telemetry, and personal-data handling have not been independently audited by this site.
Check Windows Settings → Apps for an EasyMiner uninstall entry. If none exists, stop all miner processes and consult upstream support before deleting files.

Attackers often install miners without permission, so security products may classify mining executables as potentially unwanted software. An alert may be a false positive or a real threat. Treat it as a reason to stop, verify provenance, inspect the unsigned publisher status, and seek a second opinion — never as a reason to switch protection off.
